Reality Contest for 'Saturday Night Live' Berth

LOS ANGELES (Nov. 4) - The always fierce competition among comics to land a gig on NBC's "Saturday Night Live" is set to become the basis of a reality series for the network.

Sources said NBC is working on a reality-competition series fronted by "SNL" creator/executive producer Lorne Michaels. The project would chronicle a group of comedians vying for a grand prize that is believed to be a role on the long-running sketch comedy series.

Michaels is expected to play a Donald Trump-like role, winnowing the pool of contestants until a victor is selected. Sources indicated that the project is eyed for a possible summer launch. NBC declined comment.

Michaels got his taste of getting tough on reality series contestants in a "SNL" parody skit of NBC's reality hit "The Apprentice" last season, in which he took over Trump's role and "fired" cast member Jimmy Fallon. NBC already has a track record in turning talent searches into a successful reality series with "Last Comic Standing."

A mysterious delivery guy has been spotted across the internet and has everyone asking: "Who Is Kevin Kringle?" This elusive character has inspired many to take to message boards in order to piece together clues in order to find his true identity.

Kevin Kringle is reportedly the brother of Kris Kringle, the legendary holiday-figure. Unlike his brother who lives with elves at the North Pole, Kevin lives an average life in Kissimmee, Florida. Instead of driving a magical flying sleigh, Kevin drives a non-magical overnight delivery truck. Did he run away from his heritage or did he simply not want a life in the limelight? Kevin was recently overheard saying: "The Holidays have always been tough for me and frankly, they're just not my thing. I like to buy people gifts, but I usually end up picking horrible presents. A 3rd installment of The Simple Life is in the works, and this time....they're travelling in even less style. A greyhound bus, to be exact, will be their transportation across the Northeastern part of the country. And no, it's no fancy version..just your regular, old public transportation. According to sources, the new season will begin filming Wednesday and will last about a month, as the girls trek around the Northeast working various jobs, with the Greyhound as their mode of transport. And they won't be alone....Paris and Nicole will be travelling with regular Greyhound patrons, who just happen to be going in the same direction as the socialite duo.

What made you want to do a reality tv show?
The chance of properly portraying the research of the paranormal. Also trying to bring professionalism back to the field. Pilgrim Films has allowed us to be ourselves and also have some control on the way the show goes.

Can you tell us a little more about TAPS?
The Atlantic Paranormal Society AKA (TAPS) was created by myself in Rhode Island in 1990, and has since gained 46 bases in other states and 14 other countries. It was designed to help those who believe they have some sort of paranormal situation. There is no charge for our services. What sort of training does one need to be a TAPS investigator?
The main thing that a TAPS member needs is to have an open mind, not everything has happens is Paranormal in nature. Also we train people on various equipment and interviewing techniques. A good attitude is the most important, being a team player. Willing to take advice.

Where do you see yourself in the future careerwise: plumbing, writing, or ghost hunting?
I think I see myself in the future still doing all the same things I am doing now. I enjoy the plumbing, because all the different and interesting people you get to meet. The Writing has always been a passion of mine, I have written 4 Motion Picture screenplays, also 30 TV Drama's, and 3 books.
I also have loved my time in Paranormal investigations and plan on a long future in it.

Without giving too much away, were there any memorable moments for you guys during filming?
A lot of people are going to be shocked by some of these episodes, We had some real strange moments that could not be explained, and some that could. Watch and see!

Can we look forward to Ghost Hunters: Season Two?
I know there are a lot of people interested in a second season, at this time it is up to the viewers about a second season, but I think we will do a second season.

Lastly, any advice for future Investigators?
